Rex Huntington was one of Blanche's numerous boyfriends. Blanche thought that he was a wonderful person, and only had a bit of a bad temper, but Dorothy could see that he had an abusive tendency. When she confronted Blanche about it, Blanche was appalled by the thought, telling Dorothy that Rex had never laid a hand on her. Dorothy responded, saying that not all abuse is physical. After being stood up three times by Rex, and told that it was no use going to the other dates they had made because she was late, and had dressed wrong, so they might as well just not go out. When Dorothy decides to tell Rex that he is a very mean boyfriend he becomes angry and grabs Dorothys arm and squeezes it until it hurts. Blanche witnesses this and orders her date out of the house and then appologizes profusely to Dorothy.
