There's No Accounting is the third episode of the third season of Empty Nest and the forty-eighth episode overall. Directed by Steve Zuckerman and written by Gary Jacobs, it premiered on NBC-TV on October 6th, 1990.
Carol is drawn to Barbara’s sensitive, intelligent new boyfriend and can’t figure out why he would be interested in Barbara. Harry is bored by his new girlfriend, a lady who seems perfect for him. Laverne grows attached to a dog that Nick brings home.
Bucky shares his name with comic book superhero Bucky Barnes, created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon and debuting in Captain America #1 (1941). Barnes' original costume (or one based on it) and the Bucky nickname has been used by other heroes in the Marvel Universe over the years.
Barbara and Bucky rent the film Crimes and Misdemeanors.
